Bag O’ Books Sale

The Friends of the Englewood Charlotte Library will be sponsoring a “Bag O’ Books Sale“ from April 13th - 18th in the bookstore located within the library at 3450 N. Access Rd., Tringali Park, in Englewood.

The new Saturday Book Store hours are 10:00am until 4:00pm

The Englewood Library will start being closed on Mondays starting Monday May 4th 2026.This may be due to the Mid County Library in Port Charlotte reopening after hurricane damage.

If you love to read and enjoy meeting new people we are looking for Volunteers to sub in the Friends Book Store. Come by the Book Store and pick up an application form. You can fill it out and bring it back on Tuesdays and Fridays 10:00 til 1:00, or call Ilona those days and times at 941.681.3779

We are in need of donations of gently read hard cover fiction books, Classics and magazines.

April Board Meeting

The Friends April Board meeting is Wednesday April 8th at 10:30 in the meeting room

Chef Warren

Come see Chef Warren on Wednesday April 15th 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the Community Center. Presentation of Super Summer Salads. This is the last event for this season.

Community Helpers Day

Fun event coming up April 11th: The Englewood Charlotte Library will host "Community Helpers Day" on Saturday, April 11 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will feature a fun afternoon with Englewood Fire Department and Charlotte County Fire/EMS. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will be on site with K-9 Unit. A hot dog lunch will be provided first come first serve from Mad Dogs. First come, first served.

Drums of Unity

There will be a Drums of Unity event Tuesday April 28th 1:00pm til 2:00pm.Registration required call Englewood Library 941.681.3736 for information.

Come See Our Orchid Display

We will have a beautiful orchid display courtesy of the Englewood Area Orchid Society in our Book Store window for the month of April. Come by and take a look.
